Home sweet home

I'm back from the US.  Happy to be home... Happy to be back in a country where good coffee is appreciated and readily available.

My return on Saturday morning was marked by the usual - doing our laundry and restocking our fridge AND buying a few bundles of coat hangers from IKEA :)

Needless to say, all of my culling efforts over the past 9 months have been undone and my renewed enthusiasm for shopping has caused my past shopaholism to resurface... in my lunch break today I bought two pairs of shoes, even though I originally set out to buy chicken for tonight's dinner.

Back to the drawing board...

  1. Oops... Hehehe.

I was the same when I got back from the US, still on the shopping high. Have managed to rein it in again though - you will too!

(Can't wait to see posts of your purchases...!)

  2. great to see you back! I find the same thing when I come back from overseas - I'm still in that spending frame of mind!

can't wait to see all your purchases x

  3. I've been anticipating your posts! Looking forward to seeing your USA purchases too. I know what you mean about the shopaholic in you resurfacing, it's a hard monster to keep a bay lol

  4. welcome back! what did you get from your trip? hopefully this is just a momentary lapse...? :)

  5. Welcome back! There's great coffee in new york and lots of people who appreciate it. You must not have known where to go.

  6. Thanks everybody for your comments! Life and work has gotten in the way of my blogging and culling... will be back shortly.

@anon - Finding acceptable (not even GOOD) coffee should not be like trying to find a needle in a hay stack. I finally did manage find a delicious coffee in Chicago at Intelligentsia :)

  7. It happens to the best of us. I buy one thing after not shopping for awhile, and I feel like the flood gates open! Did you at least manage to find the things on your list?
